These types of optical fibre cables consist of several loose tubes. The optical fibres are placed into loose tube with filling compound and loose tubes are stranded around Non-metallic central strength member. They are suitable for higher fibre count and waterproof requirements.

Self-supporting type cables are composed with optical fibre cable and messenger wire. These cables are suitable for aerial installation.
